Frequently Asked Questions

The stuff people actually ask. No corporate speak, just straight answers.

Getting Started

Do I really not need to sign up or register?

Nope, no signup needed. We're not collecting emails or making you create an account. Just paste your link and download. That's the whole point.

Is this actually free or is there a catch?

It's actually free. No hidden fees, no "premium" plans, no credit card needed. We make enough from ads to keep the lights on.

Does this work on mobile phones?

Yeah, works fine on iPhone and Android. The interface adapts to your screen. Downloads go to your Files or Downloads folder depending on your phone.

Technical Stuff

What quality can I download videos in?

Whatever quality the video was originally uploaded in. If it's available in 4K, you can download 4K. If it's only 720p, that's the max. We can't magically make low-quality videos HD.

Why is the download taking so long?

HD and 4K videos are huge files. A 10-minute 1080p video can be 500MB-1GB. Check your WiFi connection. If you're on slow internet, try downloading a lower quality version.

Can I download multiple videos at once?

You can try, but it might slow things down or cause downloads to fail. Better to do them one at a time, especially on mobile.

What format are the downloaded videos?

Usually MP4, which plays on basically everything - phones, computers, TVs, whatever. Sometimes WebM for certain sites, but most video players handle that too.

Privacy & Safety

Do you track what I download?

No. We don't log URLs, don't save your downloads, don't track individual users. The video processing happens and then it's gone. We have no idea what you download.

Is downloading videos legal?

Depends on what you're downloading and what you're doing with it. Downloading for personal offline viewing? Generally fine. Re-uploading or distributing? That's copyright infringement. Use common sense.

Will this give my computer/phone a virus?

No. We're just processing video URLs and serving you the file. No weird software, no executables, no browser extensions. Just video files.

Why do I need to allow popups/notifications?

You don't. If a site is asking for that, close it. We never ask for notification permissions or popup access. Those are usually ad tricks.

Troubleshooting

It says "failed to download" - what do I do?

Double-check the URL is correct and the video is still available online. Try copying the link again. If it still fails, the video might be private or geo-blocked.

The downloaded video won't play

Download probably got corrupted. Try downloading it again. Make sure you have enough storage space - you need about 2x the file size free.

Why can't I find certain videos?

If a video is private, region-locked, or requires login on the original site, we can't access it either. We can only download publicly accessible videos.

The quality looks worse than the original

Make sure you selected the highest available quality. We don't compress or reduce quality - you get exactly what the original site serves.

Storage & Devices

How much space do downloaded videos take?

720p: About 500MB-1GB per hour
1080p: About 1.5GB-3GB per hour
4K: About 3GB-8GB per hour

Varies by video content and compression.

Where do downloads go on iPhone?

Files app → Downloads folder. If you can't find it, open Files app, tap Browse at the bottom, then look for Downloads.

Where do downloads go on Android?

Usually your Downloads folder. Open your Files app or Gallery app and look for a Downloads section. Some phones also show downloads in the notification shade.

Can I download directly to cloud storage?

Not directly. Download to your device first, then you can upload to Google Drive, Dropbox, whatever. Or use a computer for this - way easier.

Limits & Restrictions

Is there a download limit?

No daily limits or caps. Download as many as you want. If you're downloading hundreds in a row, you might get temporarily rate-limited (to prevent bot abuse), but normal human usage is totally fine.

What's the maximum video length?

No specific time limit, but super long videos (3+ hours) might fail due to file size. Most sites cap video files at 2-4GB anyway.

Why doesn't it work with [specific site]?

We support the major sites listed on our homepage. Can't support everything because some sites actively block downloaders or change their setup constantly.
